Visit our stand at the B2B Expo 2024 in Farnborough! Our team will be there to chat with you about solar and battery storage and answer all your pressing questions, like:

  • How large are the batteries and inverters?

  • How soon will I see a return on investment?

  • Do the solar panels and batteries come with a warranty?

Plus, you can check out a live demo featuring a battery and inverter from GivEnergy—right at our stand!

GivEnergy Software for Solar and Battery Storage

The GivEnergy software is a great way of monitoring and managing your home energy system. Download the app from the Google Play store, or from the App Store. You can also access it directly on the GivEnergy website where you can see more detail and have access to more settings.

What can you monitor on the givenergy app?

The app allows you to monitor a number of things including:

  • How much energy is being generated by your solar panels

  • The charge status of your GivEnergy battery or batteries

  • Your grid import energy

  • Your export to grid

  • See how much energy is going in and out of the your home

What can you manage on the givenergy app?

As well as monitoring a range of power generation and usage, the app allows you to see and change settings to suit your requirements including:

  • Changing the times when you import energy from the grid to maximise cheaper rates

  • You can also change the percentage of power you wish to charge the battery using power from the grid (see example below)

  • Define the times you’d like to discharge your battery’s to utilise the energy for your home

  • Control your reserve and usable capacity

GivEnergy App Battery Charging Status

Example - you know the weather isn’t going to be great on Friday for generating energy, so you need to adjust your settings in the app. The app allows you to A) define when to charge your battery from the grid and B) by how much (percentage). As the weather isn’t looking great you decide to charge your battery to 80% Thursday night from 7pm when you can access a cheaper rate / tariff. You then allow the solar on Friday to top it up to 100% ready for the weekend.
